Today, we’re going to talk about a topic that is usually unspoken. It’s almost a taboo. People don’t talk about it a lot, but we all have issues with our parents. If you don’t, you’re amazing. You just won the lottery. But most of us have some issues- some more than others with our parents. In this episode, we’re going to talk about the troubled relationship between mothers and daughters. Mostly awesome, but there are some things that are always in the way. Some triggers from childhood, some unhealthy attachment. It happens. Your parents love you no matter what, you love them no matter what, and there is still some friction sometimes.
To discuss this topic and to shed some light on this topic, I invited Karen C.L. Anderson. She helps women take a compassionate look at the troubled relationships they have with their mothers and/or daughters and guide them to reveal patterns, heal shame, and transform legacies. She’s the author of Difficult Mothers, Adult Daughters: A Guide for Separation, Liberation & Inspiration and The Difficult Mother-Daughter Relationship Journal: A Guide For Revealing & Healing Toxic Generational Patterns.
I hope this episode will help you clear your relationship with your mom or at least make it better. It doesn’t happen in a day, sometimes it takes a while, but eventually, when you take a compassionate look and you see beyond the childhood triggers, you can find a place in your heart to love them unconditionally and have a better relationship because they’re your family, they’re your blood and you need them. Everybody needs their parents. I hope this helps.
Today, we’re going to talk about how to feel more empowered, inspired, and secure in who you are because even when you’re successful, even when things are going well, sometimes there is this little voice in your head that can bring you down. I invited Derek Doepker, he’s a best-selling author of Break Through Your BS. He loves sharing practical strategies to overcome self-doubt, fears, and limiting beliefs.
Sometimes, it's hard for me to communicate what I do in the world. I can say I help women find self-love so they can attract their person and attract success. But it's so much deeper than that because what goes into that is also healing of trauma, dealing with self-esteem, and connecting to a persona that is stronger than you think.
But how can you share all that in one sentence or in the very quick elevator speech? To help with that, I invited Adria DeCorte. She helps women leaders clarify the message they're here to share, so they can reach the right audience. She's a TEDx speaker, host of The Unforgettable podcast, creator of the Messenger Archetypes, and has been featured on the Huffington Post and Fox Morning News. Are you ready to step into those messenger shoes and share your message with the world?
For this episode, I’ve decided to share my secret with you, a secret that I’ve kept for almost a year. Later on, you will understand why I kept it as a secret and why I didn’t really want to talk about it or share it.
But it’s time. I’ve received a gift from God, and I am ready to share that with you. I also think that it can help a lot of you with the idea of manifesting and understanding of what goes into manifestation and how the manifestation of what you want doesn’t always happen the way you want it to. Still, you can manifest your dreams. If you deeply connect with that, it will show up in your life. Not always exactly the way you want it, but it will happen for you.
I wanted to be a mother for a long time.Every time I saw a little kid or baby, I felt a deep longing in my heart, that desire for being a mother. Earlier in my 20s, it wasn’t there, but when the 30s hit, every time I saw a little baby or even a little puppy, I just felt like “Ugh. I really want it.” Knowing I have hormonal deficiencies and other issues, I was not an optimal candidate to get pregnant naturally. So, my husband and I decided that we would go and try IVF.
Today, we're going to talk about how to live a kick-ass life. Life coach, author, hellraiser, Andrea Owen is passionate about empowering women to value themselves and fiercely love who they are. She helps women let go of perfectionism, control, and isolation and choosing courage and confidence instead. She is amazing. This girl is on fire and you're going to get tons of value from listening to this episode. I'm sure it's going to inspire you to live your kick-ass life.
My husband Stephan just came back from a talk, and one of the speakers shared this statistic: “80% of men die married, and 80% of women die single.” Mindblowing. Most women relegate their financial management responsibilities to the men in their life, and that is a dangerous thing. Because what happens when the guy dies or leaves the relationship, and they have no clue how to manage their finances?

Today, we're going to talk about how to dissolve money blocks, how to invest in real estate, and how to make lots of money to secure your future. From poverty to a wealth warrior, Tamar Hermes has grown businesses and invested in real estate to reach financial independence. Now, she's on a mission to support other women to do the same. Tamar is a wonderful friend. She's also been my financial coach. I took her course, The Wealth Warrior, and she is extraordinary.
What fulfills you? What brings you joy? How can you love yourself more? How can you feel more fulfilled? What is fulfillment? Is it the money you make? Because some people live in mansions and are miserable. And there are some poor children on the streets of Calcutta in India who have hardly anything to eat, but are so happy.
So what is happiness? What is joy? And how can we bring ourselves to love ourselves a little bit more every day? I enjoyed this episode because I’ve interviewed many guests, and sometimes, I find this one person who's almost like a kindred spirit, who I feel very much in alignment with it. This was a refreshing conversation, where we bounced ideas off of each other, and it was very much in sync. I know that you're going to be very inspired.

When it comes to popular astrology, you’ve probably read that Scorpio’s are too intense and Cancers are super sensitive. And whether subconsciously or consciously, these stereotypes of your “sun sign” has probably influenced your dating decisions - like rationalizing that a guy didn’t work out because his Leo sign mean he was too self-centered.
But what if I told you that compatibility has nothing to do with those signs - in fact, it has everything to do with your moon sign, your date of birth, and the destiny which the universe has outlined for you. I say outlined, because even though you may have some sort of destiny, it’s up to you to make decisions and take actions that will lead you to the partner that was meant for you.
When coaching my relationship clients, I stress the importance of being active in your quest for love, not just waiting around for the stars to align. We have to put in the work and remember that life happens for us, not to us. To understand these concepts better, I am excited to have Carol Allen on my show today, a Vedic astrologer and relationship coach whose mission is to empower women to enjoy a truly out of this world love life.
If you’re like me, you’ve probably had to kiss one too many frogs in your life. I am grateful that I have found my soulmate, but it was not before I experienced some challenging, and sometimes painful, relationships.
When I did meet my future husband, it was at a time that I allowed myself to be vulnerable with the universe, to believe that he was out there waiting for me, and to trust my intuition on knowing he was the one. Your intuition is a powerful source of guidance in your life that can help you weed out all the frogs.
I find myself having to encourage my love coaching clients often, reminding them not to give up just because they have gone on a couple of bad dates. Don’t give up, and don’t settle, because I promise there is a small voice inside of you – your intuition – who is going to guide you to the right man, you just have to trust and listen! My guest today, Dr. LeslieBeth Wish, strongly believes in the power of intuition and her belief is backed by scientific research. Tune in today to learn how you can tap into this powerful source within you.
As a child, I was taught that being nice and polite would go a long way. And while having these values will certainly take you far in life, you may have noticed by now that we live in a man’s world - and as a woman, you have to be more than just ‘nice’ if you want to get ahead.
Women are living under societal pressures which dictate how we should behave, look, and live our lives. A lot of the messages which surround you as a women are infused with limiting beliefs on what you can accomplish in life - from how much money you can earn, the kinds of roles you can play in society, to how valuable you are based on your looks.
Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, a Pulitzer winning historian, famously wrote “Well behaved women seldom make history” - meaning, it’s the women who have shaken things up and been assertive of what they want in life - often at risk of being labeled a “bitch” - who have gone on to lead memorable lives. My guest today is one such memorable woman who was tired of being the nice girl, and started taking matters into her own hands to create her dream life. Dr. Lois Frankel joins me today to discuss why Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich - and why you should stop playing nice.
What do men really want? If you’re single or have recently been dating in today’s modern world, you have probably asked yourself this question as you deal with the seemingly ever present flakiness and lack of commitment that men seem to have.
Yet the real question that you should consider is, what do you want in a man? And once you figure that out, visualize it, and most importantly, believe that you deserve it, you’ll find that you will be able to surpass all the lame dating experiences as you realize to not take ‘rejection’ personally when they were never the right fit for you anyway.
I often tell my clients, you have to work on yourself internally to become the woman who is going to attract the man of her dreams. It’s not about changing yourself fundamentally, it’s more about changing your perception of the love you deserve by healing your past traumas. My guest today, Mark Rosenfeld, has gone from awkward virgin geek in high school, to stripper, to finally a world renowned relationship coach who shares today how you can make the right person yours.
Life happens for you, not to you. When things are not going your way, it can be comforting to take the easy way out and blame everything and everyone else for your problems and stress. And while there are people who will hurt you, or things that happen that are beyond your control, that just plainly seem so unfair, or cruel, these facts of life are always going to be there - it’s what you do about them that matters.
You owe it to yourself to have the self confidence and self love to make sure your needs are getting met. Regardless of the ups and downs of life, it really is up to you to roll with the punches and make the best out of your life as possible. It’s up to you to have the foresight to realize that there is a lesson in every hardship - it’s the gift with the bow on the bottom. You can’t see it yet, but if you are open to receiving the message, you’ll get it soon enough.
With all that being said, I know it’s not easy to develop mindfulness and self-awareness, which are the pathways to forgiving, and healing your life. Life will continue to happen, and the good news is, you are totally in control of how you handle what comes your way, the good and the bad. All it takes is a little training on how to do this. My guest today actually trains and coaches others on how to develop their personal well-being through mindfulness. She has an incredible life story of her own that you’ll surely find inspiration and might just be the key to start you own healing journey.
Being vulnerable can be risky - but wouldn’t you agree that it’s the risks in life that make life worth living? If you never venture into the unknown, if you let yourself be held back by fear, I bet there are many things in your life that will pass you buy, when they could have changed the course of your destiny forever.
Vulnerability exposes the most inner truths of ourselves and for that reason, many people equate vulnerability with weakness. But being vulnerable is actually a sign of bravery - you are risking the most fragile parts of yourself, knowing well that you could get hurt by rejection, shame, or ridicule, but you do it anyway. And at the end of the day, you want to live a life of no regrets, and not look back on what you didn't do, because you were too afraid.
Many of my clients are strong, independent women who have trouble with the idea of vulnerability when it comes to relationships. They are alpha females who have been hurt in the past, who feel that wearing their heart on their sleeve is putting their emotional well-being at risk. But it’s precisely this risk, that of being vulnerable, which is the only way you can forge a deep connection with your soulmate. My guest today, David Wood, built the largest coaching business on the web, and joins me today to share how his personal life path has inspired his innate ability to help people live an open life, with no regrets.
You can be the architect of your life. It all starts when you accept responsibility for everything that has happened to you - the good and the bad - and decide that you are going to live empowered by it all, not victimized. When you reach that level of consciousness of how the world, and its infinite amount of energy works, you can tap into a higher realm.
You are incredibly vulnerable to the energy around you. Surround yourself with positive people, and you will see a change in your disposition. When you are feeling down, a simple joke or something that makes you laugh can wake your spirit up. Allow yourself to align your heart and mind, and commit to living authentically and from the heart, doing what makes you happy and serves others.
When I coach my relationship clients towards finding the man of their dreams, they understand that it’s more than just willing someone to appear on a white horse and swoop them away. A big part does involve putting out into the universe the type of relationship you want, but it’s also being more open and vulnerable, and letting that special person into your life through trust and an open mind. Tamara Dorris, a university professor and author of 20 books, is an expert on manifestation, and on today’s episode she shares how you can do this despite all the daily distractions that we allow to occupy our mind.
For many people, there is a sort of skepticism when it comes to the “woo-woo” concepts of manifesting your destiny. Ever since The Secret came out, there was a group of people, led my questionable “coaches” who really believed that they could will a “magic check” into their lives.
But the law of manifestation, of attraction, doesn’t work so easily. Otherwise, we’d all be writing big fat checks to ourselves. The law of attraction really only works when you combine it with action. It’s more than just thinking positive, it’s getting up off your butt and actually doing, not just dreaming.
Because of the popularity of The Secret, there were many coaches out there who sold false hopes to people desperate to change their lives. And today on my show, I have an incredible coach who admits to doing just that but has done a 360-degree turn in his life once he realized that self-help was just that - you need to want to change from within, and be willing to put in the work yourself. David Essel joins me today in an honest and open episode that will surely shock you with his guru confessions.
As a young girl, I clearly remember a moment where I was shamed for wearing a dress that was "too short" - because my legs were showing. That moment has stayed with me until this day, and I’ve done a lot of work, particularly through Sheila Kelly, to reconnect with my body and remove that shame that was assigned to my femininity and inherent sensuality.
As a woman, you may often find yourself juggling a work-life balance in this man’s world, one where society expects you to be both feminine, but reserved. Our sensuality is often stifled: we are shamed for embracing and showing our bodies, yet corporate america has a 'sex sells' mentality that constantly objectifies women. This is why its important for you to not only reclaim your sensuality, but embrace it, feel it, and live it with no shame. Discover your body, your needs, and embrace the sensual pleasures of everything that makes you feminine.
When I work with my clients on reclaiming their inner goddess, I remind them that this is the cornerstone of any relationships they have: the most important one is the one we have with ourselves. This means that you develop a relationship with yourself that is fun, that is forgiving, that is grateful for all that your body does for you. My guest today, Missy Garcia, knows all about living a juicy, sexy life, and today shares her journey on how she used her powerful inner sensuality to heal past sexual trauma and live a vibrant life.
“All the world’s a stage” Shakespeare famously wrote. But have you ever been on a real stage, with an audience eagerly awaiting to hear what you have to say? Perhaps you have dreamed of becoming a public speaker, or have done it before, but one thing is for sure: getting on a stage and sharing your message with the world is a sure-fire way to elevate your brand, and most importantly, inspire others with your message.
While it may seem daunting, it doesn’t have to be, because when you are on stage, all you have to do is be yourself. That is who the audience will connect with - the truth, the emotion, the stories that they can relate to and see themselves in. Whether you are selling an idea, a product, or simply spreading an inspirational message, nothing will hit home like you being vulnerable and coming from the heart. In doing so, your message could literally save someone's life.
I learned this myself when I stood on a stage recently and shared one of the most personal stories of my life. Luckily, I had one of my greatest mentors there to guide me, and he joins me today on my show to share how you can own the stage and inspire others with your words. Michael Port co-founded Heroic Public Speaking with his wife, Amy Port, and they truly are the best at guiding others to authentically shine on stage.
Technology has probably improved your life in so many ways, while simultaneously causing you to be constantly distracted by “shiny things”. Facebook, instagram, youtube, are all black holes which are easy to fall into, in place of doing what is meaningful to you. If you think about it, everytime you get sucked into one of these black holes, you block yourself from working on the things that will help you achieve your dreams.
Yet it’s not easy to stay focused on what is meaningful in your life when you live in an era of constant distraction that goes beyond technology but even life itself, with things constantly happening that are beyond our control: illness, work, relationships.
What’s important is to realize that while we can’t control what happens, we can control what we do, with the goal of affecting the way things turn out.
For women especially, we seem to have hundreds of things to do and relationships to juggle. It’s important to learn how to be present and maintain focus to allocate time and energy for our dreams, and ourselves. Nir Eyal joins me today on Stellar Life to discuss the research that he’s done on behavior and the age of distraction we currently live in, and he shares life-changing advice on how you can take back control of your life and become indistractable.
Many of us tend to carry emotional baggage into new relationships. I work with a lot of my coaching clients to help them leave that baggage behind, because ultimately we are responsible for letting it go to make space for new connections and memories. Entering into a new relationship, or even just starting to date again, can only happen when you go into it with an open mind, and an open, clean heart, free from the past, ready to receive love, and open to better understanding men.
Aside from leaving behind your baggage, you'll also have to learn to trust men again, and for that to happen, you'll have to allow yourself to be vulnerable. Men want to be respected and feel needed just as much as we do, and trusting them is a way to show respect, while being vulnerable allows them to step in and serve you.
Helena Summers is a woman who has a background worthy of a hollywood movie. She has survived a rough upbringing, war, 2 arranged marriages, and has gone on over 500 dates, to finally end up where she is today: sharing her story with you on how she has overcome so much and has never given up on men or the idea of true love. Tune in to this episode to hear her incredible, inspiring story.
Your story is one of the most essential aspects that should be included in your business plan. As the saying goes, “facts tell, stories sell.” People are going to buy from you not because of what you are selling, but your 'why'. But it’s not always easy to convey that to others, especially if you are a professional or entrepreneur who is trying to elevate your thought leadership.
One of the best ways to not only tell your story but also elevate your thought leadership, is by getting on TV. You don't have to take acting classes - you just have to get comfortable with telling your story from the heart, because that is what will grab producers' - and the audience's - attention. Once you get some high-level appearances under your belt, you achieve a level of stardom within your niche that will elevate your branding and leave an impression on your audience.
My guest today, Alison Savitch, has been in the hollywood industry for decades, and is beloved by producers and actors alike. Why? Because she has this amazing ability to help others see the best in themselves, and bring that out in a way that makes them shine. Tune in to this episode to see why getting on T.V. could be what catapults your business to another level - and how easy it can be.
When you picture yourself at 85 years old, do you see yourself going for a swim, taking a long jog on the beach, or dancing the night away? Or do you see yourself hunched over in a wheelchair, sitting in the dark corner of a nursing home, unable to do much for yourself and completely reliant on others? It’s not enough to live longer, what also matters is the quality of life you are able to live as you age.
As technology continues to advance rapidly each day, your 85, even 125 year old self could soon very well be enjoying Salsa night every week. And not only that, but actually feel thirty or forty years younger than you really are. We are getting closer and closer to finding the fountain of youth, to not only live longer but live healthier.
Dr. Terry Grossman has been at the forefront of the conversations in extending our lifespan in a healthy manner. It’s easy to get caught up in focusing on how we look, but in reality, while we can alter our appearance to look younger, what is important is that we feel younger too. If you are also looking for the fountain of youth, then tune in to this amazing conversation with Dr. Grossman. You’ll be amazed at what you can start doing now to live a longer and stronger life.
Maintaining a perfect balance between a career, family, relationships, and your personal hobbies seems like an impossible task. And in some ways, it is. Although you may have superwoman powers that help you juggle all aspects of your life, you’re still a human. And you need to put yourself and the priorities in your life first, which starts by learning how to say no.
Yes, you really do have to choose your priorities, and this will require you to be 100% honest with yourself and the things that mean the most to you. Is it having a busy social life? Or is it spending more time on your personal hobbies? Whatever you discover, fully embrace it and get comfortable saying no to everything else. That way, when people ask how you seemingly “do it all” you can confidently say, “I don’t. I do what I love!”
I often tell my coaching clients that self-care is one of the first things you should focus on if you want to attract your soulmate. But, the idea behind this applies in all aspects of your life. Felecia Hatcher is my guest today, and I am grateful for her time on the show because as you will see, she is very particular about where she spends her time. She has mastered the art of saying “no” to the things that don’t fulfill her, yet still rocks a booming business and a wonderful family. Learn how she seems to ‘do it all’ by tuning in to this episode!
